About
A small Shopify design and development studio that builds storefronts and stays to tend them.
Hunni is a design-led development studio for premium consumer brands. We work with brands you know, brands you’ll recognize by next year, celebrities with good ideas, and solo founders quietly making a killing.

Who we are
We build from scratch
No purchased theme underneath, no stack of apps doing what ten lines of code could do. Every storefront we ship starts from an empty folder and ends up faster, clearer, and yours.
We stay after launch
Launch is where our best work starts. We watch real customers use the store, test our hunches, and ship the winners, week after week, for years. Every storefront we keep got better after it shipped.
We say what we can and can’t do
You’ll get a real number, a real timeline, and a straight answer when something isn’t worth doing. Concerns become a list of things to fix, not a reason to worry.
We measure before we guess
Every decision gets checked against real customer behavior. Analytics you can trust, tests you can read, and a written record of what worked so the next store starts smarter.
Who we work with
Brands you know, brands you’ll recognize by next year, celebrities with good ideas, and solo founders quietly making a killing.
- FenoMigration off a legacy stack, a custom Shopify build, subscriptions, and the checkout work underneath
- Teddy BaldassarreYears of continuous work on a catalog that keeps growing, most of it invisible and all of it compounding
- GhiaStorefront work paired with a testing program that ships a change most weeks
- MilamendA subscription-first storefront built around a diagnostic quiz and a refill cadence
- BEROA launch storefront where motion carries the weight the alcohol used to
- VowelsBrand system and storefront designed together, so neither one had to compromise
- Dre and SnoopA launch that had to hold up under a lot of traffic on day one, and did
- Beach RiotTuned for a catalog that turns over every season without the build turning over with it
- RevitinSubscription flow rebuilt around refills, with the portal customers actually use
- NuminA custom Shopify storefront built from scratch, no theme underneath
- Unspoken AgreementA portfolio where the work had to carry the page, so the page got out of the way
- Joe Greco ProductionsBuilt to load a reel fast and then stay out of the way
How we think
Fewer apps, more care
Every app is a tax on speed and a stranger in your checkout. We use Shopify’s native tools where they’re good enough and write the rest ourselves, so the store stays quick and the code stays readable.
The people who build it are the people you talk to
No account managers, no handoffs. When you message us, the person who answers is the person who designed the page or wrote the code. It’s faster, it’s cheaper, and nothing gets lost in translation.
Many gardens, one hive
Every store we keep teaches us something, and everything we learn carries to the next. You get answers on day one instead of research projects, because we’ve usually seen the problem before.
Beautiful is a requirement, not a finish
Customers decide in seconds whether a brand is worth their money, and they decide with their eyes. We design like it matters because it does, and we measure whether it worked because that matters too.
How we work
Four stages, the same every time. The idea gets a shape, the shape gets a plan, the plan gets built, and then the real work starts.

Listen
We start by understanding the store, the customers, and the people running it. Analytics, support tickets, and a long first conversation. The brief comes out of that, not a template.
Blueprint
Every template, section, and integration mapped before anything is designed or built. You see the whole plan, with a real number attached, before we start.
Build
Design and code move together, with a live preview link from the first week. You watch the site come together instead of reading status reports.
Keep
Launch, then stay. We watch real customers use the store, test what we think will help, and ship the winners. This is where every storefront we keep got better.
How we bill
We price on level of effort, not a menu. On the intro call we look at your store, agree on what has to exist at launch, and put a real number on it. Once we set the number, it doesn’t move without a conversation first.
01
Intro call
Thirty minutes. You tell us about the store and what’s in the way. We tell you what we’d do and roughly what it costs.
02
Scope and number
A short written plan with what’s included, what isn’t, the timeline, and the price. Design and development are separate, so you can take one or both.
03
Build
Weekly previews on a live link, and no surprises on the invoice.
04
Retainer
Ongoing work runs monthly. We track our hours and share them as we go, so spend is never a surprise and you always know what’s next.
On AI
We use it every day, and it makes us faster. But when you call, we’re the ones on the other end. We do the analyzing, the designing, the developing, and we sit in the messy middle with you when the answer isn’t obvious yet. AI contributes to the work. It doesn’t replace the people doing it.

Join the hive
We’re a small team and we add to it slowly, usually a designer or developer who has shipped real storefronts and wants to keep them. If that’s you, write to us.
